Most know me as 'that girl on TV'...
Born & raised in Southern California, I left the Golden State for the Rocky Mountains in 2009 to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. I earned my B.A. in Environmental Studies with a specialization in 'Climate & Energy' and a minor in 'Atmospheric & Oceanic Studies'. (I later went on to earn a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University in August 2017.)
After graduation, I hit the road to Lubbock, Texas where I started my TV career in May 2013 as the Morning Meteorologist for the ABC affiliate. I spent a year and a half forecasting the wild weather of West Texas. Dust, ice, severe storms, heat & wind - this California gal got her fair share of weather while in the Hub City.
In August 2014, I got a call from a News Director in Albuquerque, New Mexico asking if I was interested in moving up in my career. A 6 hour drive, one interview & a few phone calls later, I signed a deal to be the Morning Meteorologist with the CBS/FOX affiliate in ABQ. I spent four & half years in the Duke City, enjoying all there was to offer in the Land of Enchantment-- incredible food, amazing views, scenic hot air balloon rides & a whole state's worth of weather (+ some!)
In July 2019, I crossed the state line & made the move back to the Lone Star State to work for our sister station in Austin, TX. I started as the Weekend Evening & Noon Meteorologist for the NBC affiliate... but in February 2020, was promoted to Morning Meteorologist. I'm now back on that morning grind & enjoy sharing the forecast with Central Texans every weekday morning 4:30AM-9AM.
